National Certificate: Advanced Farm Management

Overview
The National Certificate in Advanced Farm Management will equip students with focused knowledge and management skills in primary agricultural production. During the course, students can specialise in small stock management (sheep or goats), or large stock management (cattle or crop or horticultural management systems). Additional course content, designed by key industry role players, is included to ensure students are exposed to the latest Management Practices in industry developments.
Upon successful completion of the National Certificate: Advanced Farm Management, students can enrol in one additional year for the completion of the National Diploma in Animal Production NQF 5.
Requirements
- Grade 12, with basic literacy in English on Level 4 (40%)
- Communication at NQF Level 4
- Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4
- Agricultural activities at NQF 4

Training Methodology
Online/Blended Training
The blended training model allows students to complete theoretical modules online and practical sessions on a local farm – reducing time spent away from work.
Students can also attend relevant additional i3A courses at one of our associated academies. These course credits will contribute towards their qualification.
